Web of Science Usage Reporting

Designate someone at your institution to monitor usage reports for Web of Science resources.  Before requesting access to usage reports, please be sure to create a free, personal account in Web of Science.  Once they have a profile, access to usage can be enabled.

Register for usage reports access here

  1. To check if you already have access to the Admin Portal - Usage Reports, you can log in to your Web of Science account, click the Products button in the upper-right corner, and see if the list of products includes Admin Portal - Usage Reports.

  2. If you do not have this in your Product list, use the form to request access for your institution.
  3. You will land on the Usage Summary page. The reports in the Usage Summary tab are the most used, but you can view all the options in the menu in the header. Statistics are updated once a month (at the beginning of the month).

  4. These reports allow you to know how these resources are used and possibly plan training actions highlighting collections and/or functionalities that are not well-known to your users.
  5. You can read more in the Admin Portal help file.
